If You Would Like to Hear This Record

Because of various problems with public blogs and rights problems, I have decided to take my blog and convert it to a private email. If you’d like to listen to this album (and more) or any other album I am posting here, just send me your email address at radiovickers1@gmail.com and I will put you on my list. Along with this album, I have a gigantic archive of my vinyl digitizations that gets added to every week. I do them myself and de-click them. Most sound pretty darned good, if I do say so myself.
This is not some come on. Just caution on my part. It costs nothing and there’s nothing to join. Just an email address. I have about a hundred people on my list at the moment. Come and join the musical fun.

The vinyl on the was surprisingly good.  Not that it's perfect (though it sounds really good through speakers) but considering its age and the record company, it's amazing.  The label looks like it's been typed on.  It just looked like one of those cheap garbage labels with really shitty vinyl but, as I say, delighted with the sound.  The songs are great.  I'm not sure what most of them have to do with the Twist, but.....

I opened this album up myself. (I have a second sealed copy)   The sound is pretty good.  I had some fluff on the fucking needle on side two and thought it was totally trashed.  Then I removed the offending dust and redid it.  Now it sounds good.  A very enjoyable album.

This is one of a number of 180 gram, virgin Vinyl re-issues I bought off a dealer in Pennsylvania about 12 years ago.  It does sound great but the production of this album kind of makes it a little mute.

Info Stolen from This Great Site

With a generic name like Lost and Found, these guys were destined to remain the former. They’re by no means bad but they just seem to struggle in forging their own identity. Overall the sound owes very heavily to the 13th Floor Elevators and Love’s respective 1966 outputs.
Then there’s the one tune that goes beyond a wink’n'nudging homage to Bob Dylan’s singing style. All in all it’s a good little psych album that’ll surely get lost under a pile of better albums from the same year. (jaybird RYM)

I had a request for this album and was very surprised to find it in my selves.  The vinyl is great but there are problem spots.  Willie Boy had a repeat (this almost never happens with my vinyl)  Luckily it was right at the end of the song and I repaired it so you can hardly tell.  Still....
The music is okay.  These guys certainly weren't the best singers every to record and album.  There are some enjoyable songs.

Info Stolen from This Great Site

This pop duo were both born in the United States. Chuck Aarons was up in Toronto avoiding the draft in 1970 when he met Jim Ackley, who was working as a clerk in the promotion department of Capitol Records, and they decided to become partners.
They were backed by two experienced session musicians; Jim Rolleston (bass), who’d once worked with Seals and Crofts and Gordon Lightfoot and Terry Clarke (drums), who’d worked with John Shelley’s Manhole and Fifth Dimension.
This album spawned a minor hit, Devil Song, but after its release they moved into production work and also produced jingles. Later in December 1974 they signed to GRT records but only one 45 resulted, Where Did The Music Go?. Ackley was ex-Oregon band Thirteenth Story from 1968. (jooba)

The vinyl sounds great. I had to get another source for Moo Moo though.  It just sounded like shit.  I think it didn't react well to de-clicking because of the trumpet tone.  I have only had this about twice out of about 500 records so far.  The music is very enjoyable.

The vinyl or the production is a little weird on this one.  My version is on Capitol and not on Harvest.  It sounds a little fuzzy in spots but in other spots sounds fine.  I'm not sure.  There's nothing really wrong with it, the audio just doesn't seem to be as crisp as I would have hoped.  The music is good pop/rock.

The vinyl sounds great.  Interesting that he should choose to cover both hits from his Myles and Lenny days after already covering Hold On Lovers on his previous album.  I smell record company pressure.  Myles has a very nice voice and he give some of these covers a good effort.  More originals would have been preferable.

The vinyl sounds great.   Interesting that he should decide to cover a Myles and Lenny song.  Probably his record company pushing him to do it.  Nice album.

The sound on this is really good.  There is one little bit of flutter on A Museum Piece (I think that's the track) The album only has one live song - so the title is a bit misleading.  Enjoyable throughout.

My copy is stereo.  There is some surface noise on this.  It is a very old record.  I think it's mostly wonderful.  Just the odd bit.  This album could make you a fan of Steve, if you're not already.  There's a youthful energy to it.  Nice stuff.

The vinyl sound excellent.  There are a few little noises from the vinyl but not much.  The music (for a Partridge Family album) is pretty good.  One Night Stand is very edgy for a kids show.  I Woke Up in Love This Morning is a good pop song.

The sound on this is fantastic.  The music is "warm and tender".  What really made me digitize this one is the cover.  "Warm and Tender" with a woman lying down in a skimpy nightie, stroking the pussy in her lap.  They must have yucked a bunch when they thought of this cover layout.
